Reviews

Interestingly unique and still powerful.

"Really throws the competition off. . . Had many comments about the legality of the Talon X1. It spins well, cushions impacts protecting my elbow yet if swung hard, balls fly silently and quickly off the paddle face. A really interesting and usable paddle."

"This “hush” paddle performed above my expectations. The spin and power is very deceptive and hard to read coming off the paddle. The extra long handle is very comfortable for two handed backhanders. From other users, it seems that the spin rate gets better as the surface wears out. Very impressive paddle given its price point."

Owl Talon X1 has the awesome control of PXE with more power. Never going back to regular paddles.

"I have done well in tournaments with the Owl PXE and look forward to playing with the Talon X1. The increased power will be even more of an advantage in the singles tournaments, but I am already getting great control like the PXE. Weights at 3/9 and 4/8 work wonders for the sweet spot, and Hesacore grip/end cap enhance hand speed. The longer Talon X1 grip is great for my two-handed backhand but feels fine at the net. Follow the amazing superstar ambassadors for their success and also helpful discount codes. I appreciate Owl Paddles for bringing something truly unique and approved to the market, as opposed to all the cookie cutter paddles that come with all the guesswork about grit loss and gimmicky marketing variations of the same loud thing. Never going back."

It’s great

"I like the colors the logo and the long handle all we do it power shots so we are trying are best to use it for training and tenements. I believe this paddle is killer for professional. I was side tracked from the feeling of the paddle but one u serve get use to it it’s game on."

Edlyn L. (3/5)

Wow! Amazing paddle but…

"10/10 performance. 3/10 durability It is truly by far my favorite paddle. Power is great. Sound is unmatched… but you can’t pickup a ball off the ground, bumping paddles with someone else is scary and the grip came apart the 3rd time I used it…. Once they figure out how to increase durability or have a borderless bumper it’ll be amazing. Regripping makes sense and is easy but For now, gotta treat it like a glass paddle it seems."

Unexpectedly awesome

"Bought my Talon X1 on a whim and have been pleasantly surprised by its power, forgiveness and spin control. Not necessarily the only padel to have in the arsenal, but certainly one to make sure you don’t miss trying out."

Incredible paddle, already have got two of my friends to buy one

"I'm a paddle nerd and I have literally almost every new paddle out and when I purchased the owl frankly my expectation was simply that it was very different and so I wanted to try it. I heard that a generate a lot of spin and I tend to play with a lot of spin in my game anyways, so I figured it would be a great fit. It has exceeded all of my expectations the spin is incredible but the sound is something entirely different it really throws off your competitors in a lot of ways and it does take a minute to even for you to get used to because they have no idea how hard you hit the ball I have no idea you know to spend you're putting on the ball it is very deceptive paddle in many ways but it is is now my favorite. This is coming from somebody who has the boomstick the Omni RPM V1 V2 Q2 I have the new 11246 the j6cr, both Friday Aura pro, Friday aura the three carbon genesis, the falculos elite just to name a few my point is this paddle is really exceeding my expectations and I couldn't be happier"

Great paddle

"Great paddle, grip needed replacing after 2 games. Has some control and good power. Moved up from cx paddle"

Shahida P. (5/5)

Very cool tech. Notes for kitchen heacy players.

"This felt on the owl delivers a crazy amount of spin and (oddly) seems to have increased the power and control on my drives and put-aways. The softness of the sound is a treat and it also messes up people who haven't played against it earning a few extra points. A side effect that first time users should be aware of is: the felt also changed my ability to feel the impact of the ball and has made my soft dinks and resets less accurate (which is the opposite of what I was expecting). I think this will improve with practice. My heavy topspin dinks are already better than before a standard paddle. The downsides of this paddle for me are in the elongated shape. the sweetspot is pretty small, and if you connect with it at an inappropriate time, you get a LOT of power which you may or may not want. Also the swing weight is higher than I like, which has slowed me down at the kitchen for hand battles. I am experimenting with counterbalancing this with lead in the handle at this point. I think this paddle would be excellent for players who like heave topspin drives and drips, tennis players who want a more tennis like feel. If you want something zippy for handbattles, this is not your axe."

Crazy Paddle

"Super fun and different and solid and spinny. Feels good when you have to scratch your knee."
