Decent but flawed

"Power and spin are fantastic however I could not get used to the heavy swing weight which is 131 (even after adding some weight at paddle throat). Touch game has hard to used to as it lacks a real connected feel hitting resets and touch volleys. I also did not love the long handle and the paddle width. It would be interesting if they could make a different shape like a hybrid or widebody."

Interestingly unique and still powerful.

"Really throws the competition off. . . Had many comments about the legality of the Talon X1. It spins well, cushions impacts protecting my elbow yet if swung hard, balls fly silently and quickly off the paddle face. A really interesting and usable paddle."

Best Paddle I've Owned - Mucho Mas Girar/Spin

"I played my 1st 2 tournaments with the Owl Talon X1. Got 2nd place in men's 50+ and 3rd place in the mixed doubles any age on 06/07/26. Then last week got 1st place in men's Firecracker tournament on 07/03/26. I bought the paddle for its spin rating and the fact that the surface will last longer than standard paddles. I spin and slice more than most because of my table tennis background. I get a lot of points because players can't determine how much spin the paddle is generating."

"This “hush” paddle performed above my expectations. The spin and power is very deceptive and hard to read coming off the paddle. The extra long handle is very comfortable for two handed backhanders. From other users, it seems that the spin rate gets better as the surface wears out. Very impressive paddle given its price point."

Silent Assassin

"The Talon is a riot to play with! Quiet and soft feeling, but then you can blast the ball and your opponent doesn't hear it coming. The sound is so muted that today someone thought I was hitting every ball on the handle. Nope, that was the sweet spot. So much fun!"

Owl Talon X1 has the awesome control of PXE with more power. Never going back to regular paddles.

"I have done well in tournaments with the Owl PXE and look forward to playing with the Talon X1. The increased power will be even more of an advantage in the singles tournaments, but I am already getting great control like the PXE. Weights at 3/9 and 4/8 work wonders for the sweet spot, and Hesacore grip/end cap enhance hand speed. The longer Talon X1 grip is great for my two-handed backhand but feels fine at the net. Furry and fun

"I used the CX for 6 months. It grew furrier over time and seemed to play better. I think the Owl facilitated my learning insofar and any errors were entirely due to me doing something wrong. On the other hand, against heavy and skillful hitters, it was a struggle to keep up and I lacked the precision and wits to hold my own. The Talon retains most the control, sacrifices some agility unless choked, and introduces a wider range of choices and outcomes. I lack all of the skill to master it but am coming along. It is capable of more decisive wins but with that, the training wheels are off and now I need to know when to back off. Am loving the process and have no doubt this is a paddle for me to grow into. Coming from table tennis for me it is the Owl or nothing. Can’t stand thwacking at balls."

It’s great

"I like the colors the logo and the long handle all we do it power shots so we are trying are best to use it for training and tenements. I believe this paddle is killer for professional. I was side tracked from the feeling of the paddle but one u serve get use to it it’s game on."

Wow! Amazing paddle but…

"10/10 performance. 3/10 durability It is truly by far my favorite paddle. Power is great. Sound is unmatched… but you can’t pickup a ball off the ground, bumping paddles with someone else is scary and the grip came apart the 3rd time I used it…. Once they figure out how to increase durability or have a borderless bumper it’ll be amazing. Regripping makes sense and is easy but For now, gotta treat it like a glass paddle it seems."
