My honest take on the OWL pickleball paddle after a week on the courts
"The sound of this thing is incredibly weird at first. Instead of that sharp plastic smack you’re used to, the OWL makes a dull, muffled thud. It almost sounds like you’re hitting a tennis ball with a heavy wooden paddle. The control at the kitchen line is insane. It feels super plush, absorbs hard drives like a pillow, and resets are effortless. Plus, because it dampens the impact, it’s incredibly easy on the arm—perfect if you struggle with tennis elbow."

Best paddle ever!!
"Our community just went to quiet Pickleball. So I decided to research the owl paddles. The rep was wonderful and suggested the CXE and the PXE which I purchased. Right out of the box, they play like the Engage brand which I’ve used for years. The only difference is the amazing reduction of sound being admitted on each swing. My wife loves the PXE and I play with the CXE. We both feel that we’re able to control the ball better with the added bonus of people cannot hear the shot coming which gives us an advantage! Our community is currently researching how to reduce sound from Pickleball even lower. I am highly recommending the use of Owl paddles to do this. You’ve got to try these paddles! They are the best."

Top tier backspin
"Elite spin that tennis players will like especially backspin. Very good at drops and resets. Still getting used to the paddle but it gets better each time I use it, probably due to the felt getting a little roughed up. Seems to be a mid tier power paddle on overheads and drives. Steve J"

Best paddle for competition, keeps the opponents quessing!!!
"I am now on my 3rd PXE paddle, I am a teaching pro and compete in local tournaments and leagues. This paddle beats them all including the new Talon. Moderate power, GREAT spin and control. Very comfortable to play with. My opponents hate the paddle as they can't tell what I am doing from the sound. John Kew in his reviews think that the spin increases with age. . . I agree, I have to break in my new paddles to get the 2,800+ spin that the PXE provides. Can't wait for a foam version as the hex does break down on this paddle just like all the other Generation 3 paddles and you get a hot spot. However, the woven surface never breaks down or loses it's spin -- when it is fluffling up it is just getting better."

Rookie in disguise
"Even though I’ve been playing PB for less than 6 months, my shots with the Owl PXE has people thinking that I am a veteran. I am asked to take it easy and not to spin the ball so much, by people who are ranked much higher than me. I do have a racket sports’ background, so I do have some shots. In a recent game, my opponents thought I was a jerk for some of the shots I was making. Then they realized I was new to the game and was just trying shots. I blame it on the Owl Paddle."

Super fun paddle
"Really fun paddle takes a little time to get used to on the sweet spots a little bit low, but decent amount of power to finish balls and super fast and hands!"

No compromise
"I don't feel like I had to compromise anything switching to this paddle. Power, Control, Spin. Check, Check and Check!"

Control the Ball, Control the Game
"The control this paddle offers is a game changer for me. More control, more points, more wins. I have have a half dozen paddles, but the others are simply gathering dust while the owl leads the charge."
