"I fell in love with the CXE for it's control and spin. I decided to give the Talon X1 a try, since I prefer the hybrid shape and longer handle. I've not been disappointed. The feel is great, with power when I need it, but keeping the touch I need for the dinking game. And everyone complains about the (lack of) sound, though I find the Talon to be louder than the CXE (but still much quieter than most other paddles)."

"I walk on the court now and people are very inquisitive! THEN, we start drilling, warming up and they are standing there STUNNED! Wait, I can’t hear the ball come off the paddle! They all complain that they can’t gauge the direction or speed based on NOT hearing the ball come off the paddle! In for the WIN. THEY anre inquiring how to purchase the Talon X1 I have!!"

New Talon X1, new to Owl

"I originally got beat by people with Owl raquets because I couldn't time the ball coming back to me. I tried it briefly and was not used to the low sound when hitting the ball. When I saw the Talon X1 with a 15% discount, I thought this may be the best time to try out a new raquet. I live playing with my Vatio Pro but the more I play, I start to hear more and more sounds in my right ear, which I dont think is a good long term effect of playing PB. When I received my Talon X1, it took some getting used to as the paddle surface is like a cm shorter and I just miss hit and completely missed the ball the odd time, But now after playing with it 4 times, it feels like the ball stays on my raquet just a tad longer and my spins seem better than before. Also love the fact the noise level has dropped so much. Great raquet and definitely no Boom stick for me!"

Simply Unique and Beautiful

"From the first hit, your opponents will be thinking more about what the sound coming off your paddle is rather than hit the shot they want. Its a conversation starter, it somehow provides a lot of grip and there is no issues with accuracy and spin. I honestly think the "grit retention" might outlast even newer grit tech. Because it sounds exactly like pounding a carpet, consider me the carpet pounder."
