"It’s no secret at this point, no other paddle can generate the spin that this paddle can. It’s got plenty of power, more than most, and still has great touch for the soft game. Don't hesitate my second one.

"Love the Owl Talon. I had bought one on release day and loved it. After my wifes Joola started giving her problems she tried mine and I never got it back. Decent but flawed

"Power and spin are fantastic however I could not get used to the heavy swing weight which is 131 (even after adding some weight at paddle throat). Touch game has hard to used to as it lacks a real connected feel hitting resets and touch volleys. I also did not love the long handle and the paddle width. It would be interesting if they could make a different shape like a hybrid or widebody."

"I had been playing with a Drew Brees Ltd Ed. for a while but I find the new Talon X1 a better ally while playing against the wind. The spin is equally good (great!) but power is better with the Talon X1!"

Interestingly unique and still powerful.

"Really throws the competition off. . . Had many comments about the legality of the Talon X1. It spins well, cushions impacts protecting my elbow yet if swung hard, balls fly silently and quickly off the paddle face. A really interesting and usable paddle."

Best Paddle I've Owned - Mucho Mas Girar/Spin

"I played my 1st 2 tournaments with the Owl Talon X1. Got 2nd place in men's 50+ and 3rd place in the mixed doubles any age on 06/07/26. Then last week got 1st place in men's Firecracker tournament on 07/03/26. I bought the paddle for its spin rating and the fact that the surface will last longer than standard paddles. I spin and slice more than most because of my table tennis background. I get a lot of points because players can't determine how much spin the paddle is generating."

"This “hush” paddle performed above my expectations. The spin and power is very deceptive and hard to read coming off the paddle. The extra long handle is very comfortable for two handed backhanders. From other users, it seems that the spin rate gets better as the surface wears out. Very impressive paddle given its price point."

Silent Assassin

"The Talon is a riot to play with! Quiet and soft feeling, but then you can blast the ball and your opponent doesn't hear it coming. The sound is so muted that today someone thought I was hitting every ball on the handle. Nope, that was the sweet spot. So much fun!"
